Cádiz Club de Fútbol was founded by students of La Salle Mirandella, part of the La Salle educational network within Spain and around the world. The official colors of La Salle are blue and yellow and the club chose those as well. The club's emblem includes the mythical Greek figure of Hercules holding two lions with a royal crown at its top, also found in the coat of arms of the city of Cádiz. The nickname Amarillos means The Yellow.
Estadio Ramón de Carranza:
Avenida Ramón de Carranza is the street on which the stadium is located. The stadium was built in 1955.
Previous stadiums: Jockey Club, Las Balas, Campo Ana de Viya, Campo del Velódromo, Campo de Deportes Mirandilla (1933-55).
