Description:

Queen's Park Rangers were formed by the merger of St Jude's Institute (founded 1882) and Christchurch Rangers. Most of the players were from the Queen's Park neighborhood of London, although the club is actually based just to the south in the neighborhood of Shepherd's Bush. Used an artificial turf surface for seven years during the 1980s, an extreme rarity in the game. The Hoops and Super Hoops nicknames of Queen's Park Rangers are a reference to the team's horizontally striped jerseys. QPR joined the Football League in 1920 after over two decades in the Southern League. QPR's 1967 League Cup win was the first-ever League Cup final to be played at Wembley and was also won when they were in the Third Division.

Loftus Road:

The club played in 17 different stadiums before moving to Loftus Road in 1917. In addition they played two seasons in the 1930s and part of a season in the 1960s at the larger White City Stadium, built for the 1908 Olympics. One side the stadium fronts Loftus Road, though the main entrance is actually on Южная Африка Road.
