Details:Полное название: Wolverhampton Wanderers Football Club
Official Website: wolves.co.uk Description:St Luke's were formed in the Wolverhampton district of Blakenhall by students of St Luke's school. Two years later they merged with another Blakenhall club Wanderers to form Wolverhampton Wanderers. Wolves were one of the founder members of the Football League in 1888. Wolves reached the UEFA Cup final in 1971, their best ever run in Europe. During the summer of 1967 they played an entire season as the "Los Angeles Wolves" of the US's United Soccer Association, actually winning the league title. In the early 1980s Wolverhampton Wanderers were spectacularly relegated three consecutive seasons, going from First to Fourth Division. The club's logo is a stylishly simple wolf. The nickname Wolves is a regular nickname for the city of Wolverhampton. Molineux Stadium:The stadium is named after the old Molineux Hotel, which was opened by local merchant Benjamin Molineux. The field he rented out to the club evolved into the present-day stadium.
Previous Stadiums: Windmill Field (1877-79), John Harper's Field (1879-81), Dudley Road (1881-89).
